Long ago, the powerful urSkeks split into two forms: the malevolent Skeksis and the wise Mystics (urRu). Opposing forces born of the same origin. One fuelled by greed and control, the other by wisdom and peace.

This handcrafted sterling silver ring features a detailed sculpt of Skeksis on one side and Mystic on the other – a wearable representation of the fractured harmony at the centre of Thra’s mythology.

From Sketch to Story

Bringing the ring to life was a journey of artistic collaboration. Our design process began with a deep dive into The Dark Crystal™ archive — analysing character forms, costume details, and the mythological elements of Thra.

Our 3D designer, Toby, started with hand-drawn sketches, exploring the duality of the Skeksis and the urRu. From there, he transitioned into digital sculpting, refining each detail using computer design software to capture the essence of both beings. The final model was brought to life through 3D printing, ensuring that every line, wrinkle, and swirl honoured the lore. Moodboards, concept sheets, and sculpting references were used throughout the process to ground every design choice in authenticity.

Crafted with Intention

Made in the UK using sterling silver, this ring was carefully designed by our team of artists and makers with deep respect for the original characters and the rich symbolism of The Dark Crystal™. Every curve and swirl reflects elements from Skeksis armour, Mystic patterns, and the mystic geometry of the Great Conjunction.

You can choose to wear it with a central amethyst gemstone — echoing the Crystal of Truth — or without, letting the silver sculpting speak for itself. Both versions are made to order and assembled by hand, giving each piece its own connection to the world of Thra.
